There are a number of different transmission links and protocols that may have to be aggregated by a Metro Subdivision application. These include T1/E1/J1 carrying channelized TDM data, unchannelized data or ATM data; T3/E3 links made up of multiple T1/E1/J1 links; and SONET or SDH optical links.

Products are required for: terminating the T1/E1/J1 and T3/E3 links, Line Interface Units (LIU) and Framers to provide pulse shaping, clock recovery, and frame synchronization required for TDM channelized links.
