Joystick, Mouse and Keyboard are Input/Output devices for computers. Apart from games applications, joysticks are also used in Industrial Control panels, Medical equipment to smoothly and accurately control various system functions, for controlling machines such as elevators, cranes, trucks, powered wheelchairs and some zero turning radius lawn mowers. A gamepad, also called joypad or control pad, is a type of game controller held in the hand, where the fingers are used to provide input.
The most common mouse is a symmetrical oval/oblong design, with one to four buttons, whereas some also have a small wheel or ball. An optical mouse uses a light-emitting diode, an optical sensor, and digital signal processing in place of the traditional mouse ball and electromechanical transducer.

There are several types of keyboards categorized by the switch technology employed in their operation. They are dome-switch keyboard, capacitive keyboard, mechanical-switch keyboard, buckling-spring keyboard, hall-effect keyboard, membrane keyboard, and roll-up keyboard. Wireless keyboards are becoming popular these days. The wireless keyboards currently available are either infrared based or RF based transmission systems.
